When you sit down to Thanksgiving dinner, how do you begin a conversation? Well, artist Tucker Nichols designed these hilarious napkins to help spark a chat. His suggested topics made me laugh, including: What I know about cheese, mosquitos do/do not like to bite me, best fish tacos, how is everyone sleeping these days, food you used to like and for the last time how daylight saving works.
I would add: What trip you would take tomorrow if money were no object, childhood nicknames, the best meal you've ever had and everyone's top five books. What are your conversation starters?P.S. What to say when there's an awkward silence.

What's your drink? We've gotten really into rosé wine this summer. It's perfect for drinking on the roof deck with friends—or, more often, sneaking sips while reading the Curious George Anthology to a decidedly-not-sleepy toddler. So this tote made me laugh—I plan to wear it to the wine shop.

How beautiful are these hand-lettered indigo notecards? The designer, Eva Jorgensen, was inspired by the traditional Japanese dyeing technique called shibori.One thing I've learned in my old age: Always have cards (and stamps) at home, so you have them whenever you need them. Just one of those little things.
